This is the same basic test at ISO 100, again processing all files from RAW using Lightroom Beta 4 with sharpening and NR turned off and the default curve. The same shooting conditions apply - auto exposure with the central focus point active and aimed at the top edge of the monitor, towards the left end (the A100 appears most accurately focused - even at f10, you can tell whether the true focus is on the monitor edge, or the background). Viewers have commented that the Nikon image is a larger scale; that's true, the viewfinder shows rather more of the field, and the lens markings only permitted an approximate 28mm. The Sigma was the only lens where placing the zoom at 28mm produced - 28mm! Mirror up self timer was used where available, plain self timer where not. The Nikon has given very generous exposure but was not corrected. The Dynax 7D was corrected with -0.7 because from experience, this camera requires that correction nearly all the time. My experience with the Nikon is also one of similarly generous exposure but without the 7D's tendency to underexpose in backlight.
Note: for some reason, a Canon 400D copy image appeared here earlier on. When replaced with the correct image, the Canon 400D EXIF info stuck and could not be removed from the Konica Minolta image. I have now reloaded the Konica Minolta image after deleting the earlier one, and this time the correct EXIF info appears.
