Saturday September 19,2009, the Western Prototype Modelers Meet was held for the 20th year This time the meet was held in the Historic San Bernardino Santa Fe Depot, in San Bernardino, CA. We had a great crowd, with approximately 240 attending. This year we were joined by the 1/87 Vehicle Club. Five great Clinics were presented in a separate room, by Dick Harley, Paul Ellis & Craig Walker, Mike Rose, Tim Federick, and Steven Beales & Bob Freitas.
We had over 1100 models on raised tables for easy viewing , and operating Free-mo Modular layouts in both HO & N scale that were set up in the Museum. Manufacturers present included A-Line/PPW, Athearn, BLMA, Big Rig Trucks, Cannon & Company, Details West, Tangent Scale Models, ExactRail, Railmaster Hobbies, Custom N DCC, Model Railroad Hobbiest Magazine, Central Valley, Sprog, Brent MacGregor and Donald Sims Photos. Many thanks are due to the various sponsors that donated items for our raffle without whom this meet would not be possible.
