Al Diamond was my lead mechanic in Blades and Vanes, we've fished Lake Okechobee together and I bought a boat from him.

Yes they are a cherished memory, My Dad Al Diamond worked with EAL over 30 years, started right after they opened in Michigan moved to Hialeal in 1953 and he retired just a few years before they went under.
My Dad worked 29 years for EAL, first as an Aircraft Electrician, then went over to Production Planning for awhile, then ending his career doing "bench work" (avionics repair?, I guess).
Eastern Airlines paid for my childhood, and flew our family to visit out-of-town relatives. They are a cherished memory...
