It appears that the second parking garage on the east side is almost completed. The National Airlines maintenance base is in the background with two B747's and a slew of DC-10's parked, which indicates that National may have been on strike at the time. Also visible is the Eastern "Pea Patch" with a parked DC-9 next to the huge Eastern Air Lines employee parking lot that extended from Concourse 7 (renamed to "B" and now part of "D") eastward to the Eastern Air Cargo building that was just west of National's new B747/DC-10 hangar.
