Desert Blue

The crackled clay of the geothermal site Hverarónd appears blue in the subdued lighting of the Nordic midsummer night.
Hverarónd lies in the Námaskard area east of Mývatn, where the Icelandic northern tectonic ripzone (NRZ) creates a liable geology
with lots of volcanic activity, and also frequent but for the most minor and deep earthquakes.
