M6 (Butterfly Cluster) in Scorpius

Tivoli/Namibia

A nice example of an open star cluster. The blue of the young and hot O-type cluster members contrast nicely with the bright orange of a K-type giant, the brightest star of the cluster. M6 lies about 1600 light-years away from the solar system.
