The guests sit facing the waterfront and on a clear day guests can see the island of Lanai as a backdrop. If the weather is nice, the evening is a fabulous combination of a glorious sunset, great food, and beautiful music. Of course in January it became rather quickly completely dark, and in the evening we saw the luau it was cloudy. Even if it's a cloudy evening, the luau is worth attending just for the food and music.
