Chris,
Thanks for visiting my gallery and for the kind comment. I enjoy your work very much and am impressed by your bird-a-day project. The consistently excellent quality of the images there are a testament not only to your skill, but to your hard work and perseverence. The Western Tanager may be my favorite, but it's a hard call among so many winners.

Hi Chris P.
Thank's for visiting my gallery. Yes, the bird's are very jumpy at times. Come on down and visit the Arizona Sonoran Desert museum, the bird's are almost friendly. While you are here, go down to Sierra Vista and visit Ramsey Canyon, one of the most popular birding sight's in the USA. Sam Wilson

I've been enjoying your bird PaD since day one, and so has my 2 year old daughter. Enjoying the result of your hard effort has become a morning ritual for us second only to eating Cheerios. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Chris, love your bird pictures. Very nice details and comps. May I ask what the Canon 400mm lens cost you?? A 400mm zoom L lens is on my wish list! Thanks, Cindy.

Hi Chris, Will add you to our favorite artists page and follow your bird-a-day gallery, as well as your other excellent work. You sure live in a good state for this project. Our whole NY list is about 330, and that's after 20 years! Lloyd and Sandy

Really enjoyed your bird galleries! I just spent some time in Southern Africa where I took a keen interest in bird photography; I can therefore appreciate your comments about bird photography!

Thanks for dropping by and for the funny comment...lol. My wife and I are planning a trip to southern California around the end of August. We live in Nevada, but I've never seen the ocean...or the Redwoods...I've always wanted to see both...thanks again for stopping by...happy picture taking to you and the hubby... :-))

Hi Chris. Thank you so much for the nice remarks that you left regarding the "falcon" in my PAD gallery. Unfortunately, I honestly don't know what kind of bird that is ... so sorry.

I am amazed at your galleries. You are an excellent photographer. I could say all the nicest things to describe your galleries but it still wouldn't suffice. Great work Chris and thanks a lot for sharing them with all of us :-)

Hi Chris
Thank you for your comment on my Pad today. I love it when someone new does that and when you go to find out where the person is from it opens up another great set of galleries to enjoy. I have put you on my favorites list and shall return to delve more deeply into what looks like great galleries.

Chris,
Thank you for your kind comments. I am rather new at this photography hobby and welcome any suggestions. My wife gave me a Nikon D-50 for Christmas, it seems as if there is a lot to learn!
Your bird captures are very impressive and I love the Humpback whale! Great stuff!

Many thanks for your very nice comments on my PaD gallery, no the lady bell is a summer flower that I photographed last summer...
stevephoto12-Feb-2006 07:41
Chris,

The lens in the photo is Canon's 100-400 zoom. Probably the reasons it looks bigger are having the lens hood attached and the viewing angle.

Thanks for the comments. I was able to get close to the coyote and bobcat because they were captive animals.

I like your photos from Hawaii.

Chris -- You've got some good ones here -- way to go! Thanks for your comments on mine; that pictured Cooper's Hawk is indeed an adult. I looked at your juvenile accipiter and agree it is a Coop.
Armando 12-Nov-2005 03:34
Chris, Are you really a beginner as you say? Your pictures look awesome. I was not able to see info on what lens each picture is taken with. Was that removed on purpose, or is just not present? Any ways, nice composicions and balance/saturation of colors. Take care,
Armando (arodri3 at dpreview).

Thank you for visiting my pics and your nice comments. As to what camera I use, that picture was taken with the Konica Minolta DiMage Z20. I like its macro capability. I also have the Z10, Olympus C-700UZ, and my newest Nikon D-70 with the 80-400 VR lens.
