Jonckheere 320 (J320)
PN G190.3-17.7

Jonckheere 320 (J320, PK 190-17.1, PN G190.3-17.7) Planetary Nebula in Orion. Taken over several
nights in Jan. 2013. Imaged with CCD Lab’s Q285M camera and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10, on a
Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. This image is cropped and upsampled from the original. The OIII and
H alpha subframes were 15 minutes binned 1x1, while the RGB subframes were 4 minutes binned 2x2
resulting in the following total exposures (OIII+HA):(R+Ha):(G+OIII):(B+OIII) (min) = (270+240):
(52+240):(52+270):(52+270). Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated, sigma combined in Iris with other
processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.

This image was published in Astronomy Now, Vol 28, No. 1 (Jan. 2014), p59 and also
Astronomie Magazine, No. 184 (Dec. 2015), p60.

Love your choice of planetary nebulae! This is definitely the best image of this rare thing! Amusing that it was discovered by a double star observer!
