Lagiewniki - the City forest

The Lagiewniki forest, situated within the borders of the city has an area of 3,000 acres (ca 1,200 ha). It is unique in Europe, since none of the European metropolises has such a vast area of natural forest complex, and yet close to the centre of the City.
