Baird's Sandpiper

Ensley; Memphis, TN

Not a great shot, but it shows to good effect the long silhouette and characteristic flat-backed profile of a feeding Baird's. The very light, almost pinkish-brown of these birds is very pleasing to the eye, and gives you another tool to use to pick them out of the masses. It has been a great spring for these Great Plains migrants.
