Tundra Swan - 2-2-2010 - Crittenden - body

The angle of the Body Major Axis is much greater in Tundra as shown on this bird. The axis is a line drawn from the base of the neck to the tail. Trumpeter Swan backs slope gently to a peak in the middle of the body and the rear is held lower. They also have a longer slimmer look on the water than Tundra Swans.
