Jim, you give me more credit than I deserve. 55 seconds was the result of my trying to count off a 60-second Bulb exposure in the dark. I knew from past attempts that a longer exposure would leave star trails. The result was very underexposed, and needed a lot of postprocessing. The hardest part about shots like this turns out to be the focus. Autofocus doesn't work, and modern lenses don't have mechanical stops at infinity.

Another wonderful shot. Thank heavens for digital cameras trying to sort out the exposure on these type of shots. I suspect 55 seconds was not the first exposure that popped into your mind.
