Had one of these wonderful birds squawking at us from a bush on the dunes at Costa Calma, Fuerteventura. Very tame and cheeky. But then the squawk turned to a lilting, tuneful little song. Unexpected and beautiful. A third song came a little later. It also posed very thoughtfully for my camera. Entertained us for a good 20 minutes before flying off.

One of these little devils took up residence in the villa next door to us (las salinas golf course)on holiday w/b 28/3/11. Made lots of noise until was successful in finding a 'pal' who stayed for the rest of the week. Beautiful perching behaviour on a nearby tree. The pair then visited us daily looking for meals and were very tame.
