We would never have noticed this bird if it wasn’t for our captain pointing it out. It was
well “tucked away” in the trees. This long-tailed bright rusty cuckoo, apparently likes
wooded and forest edge habitats in tropical lowlands and foothills. Mostly forages at
mid to upper levels in trees where, as we experienced, it can be difficult to see!
