A twisted white cedar with a long history. This cedar log was already dead protecting some long forgotten bird and feeding a ranging woodpecker when fire nearly a hundred years ago consumed most of its forest neighbours. The history continues as an entry
to SI. The twisted white cedar is a genetic variation that I see from time to time on walks.
