Late Iris 10_29_05.jpg

Wanda planted this iris last Fall. This spring it didn't bloom. Wanda noticed the bloom yesterday. She remembered that when she bought them they were supposed to bloom twice a year.

She asked me to take a picture for her. It rained all night and I think the droplets add a little to the photo.

Not all iris bloom twice a year. This is a variety that was advertised as one that blooms in early summer and again in the fall. So I decided to buy some and see. Next year will be the teller. It always takes a season or two to get them established.

Bill took this shot outside where the iris is growing.

iris bloom twice a year? I didn't know that. This is lovely. Did you bring it in to shoot or do this outside?

Very nice....I really like the dark, dark background against the white flower. It just pops........
