Makarov 10_30_05.jpg

My job at Cabelas is to buy and sell used firearms. In the Gun Library we sell mostly high end, expensive guns but we do all the buying. Yesterday we bought this little inexpensive Russian Makarov pistol. It was virtually in new condition.

It is a very inexpensive firearm. OK, some might call it cheap. I wouldn't, the Makarov is pretty well made and a very good value.

I have paid more for a bottle of decent Scotch Whisky than what I paid for this little gun. It will make a fine little gun for shooting tin cans.

Strange:
When I post a nude picture: all Americans get shocked...
When an American posts a gun picture: I am shocked...

But I gues it is just a cultural thing...

PS: Nice picture btw

The National United Tincan Saviors of America decry the wanton violence visited upon poor, defenseless tincans in the name of "plinking". Please, if you must shoot something, shoot a criminal. There appear to be a never-ending supply of miscreants in the USA.

Great photo. And, that's what I call a flash!

Bill, from one shooter to another:
It is bad enough you make us all jealous with such a beautiful wife, but now you have gone over the top and pick up the pistol, at such a great price. Good shot, please post one with a target you have used the weapon on as the background.

John, the device on the trigger guard is a laser sight. It puts a nice red dot where the slug will strike. It came with the gun.

Great world we are livin in huh? Now we can all get our own pistol for a few bucks. It is incredible that the laser device is more expensive than the gun.... Thanks for sharing this picture with us Bill.

As a UK'r your libral gun laws somewhat amaze me. I am actually a gun owner though glad that such as this are not generally available! All pistols are outlawed here though there are way too many in the wrong hands. What is the item clamped to the trigger gaurd? Anti theft device maybe?

Ian should be glad the gun is in your hands and not that of someone who might use it for less than desirable purposes. Nice photo.

So much for My idea of dressing up like a tin can for Halloween. (grin)

Loved Jeanne's comment! (laffni)

A laser sight attached to the trigger guard?
I would love to see your workplace, looks like a neat place and the guns are fun.

Unfortunately they can be used for a lot more than shooting tin cans, Bill. I’ve just read this weekend of an even smaller and cheaper handgun, a tiny 4” East German made 0.25” Schmeisser pistol that was used in an unsolved murder in Nairn, Scotland, last year.
‘nuff said.

The compact flash exits the barrel when you squeeze the release ; ^ ).
Nice crisp shot, William. If the display was not on a wood grain table, it would be a quality commercial photo. Well done.

where does the compact flash card go?
