Panasonic Micro 4/3

This M4/3 system reminds me so much of my favorite (2002) Minolta Dimage 7 camera that is small, light weight with Live View, EVF, video and histogram. The new Panasonic zoom lenses (12-35 & 35-100f2.8) are almost as good or better than my Canon L zoom lenses. With the addition of a few fast good prime lenses (PL 25f1.4, Oly 12f2 & 45f1.8, Voigtlander 17.5 & 25f0.95), the optics of the M4/3 is almost as good as any system. The only M 4/3 lenses missing is some fast telephoto lenses similar to the popular Canon 300f2.8 & 500f4. While the current AF performance of the M 4/3 is still not as good as the pro full size DSLRs, the current addition of the GH4 and EM-1 are narrowing the gap significantly.

life is full of compromise. Traveling light seems to work well for me. The trips have been more enjoyable and I may even come home with more useable shots. For landscape type of shot, the loss of image quality is quite minimal, unless you print larger than 17X22 regularly. The major drawback of my current M4/3 system is the 'inadequate' AF performance when it comes to wildlife photography. Bird-in-flight is almost out of the question. May be I have been spoiled y my Canon 1DMk3 and the super tele lenses.

How does it feels to travel light, but knowing you are sacrificing a just a little of image quality? Are you confident on the auto focus 150mm above? Thanks Ser
