"Bottoms Up" by Stonefinger
2nd Place

Picture was taken against a wall that needed painting. Light was from a lamp with the shade tilted towards the subject. Bottle color is a result of opalization (bottle was underwater for 100+ years when I recovered it) Post processing included minor spot cloning, border rectangle, and turned 90 degrees in "My First Paintbrush" program.

Neat idea & illusion, Stonefinger...I esp like the lighting and colors...attractive subjects set against a nice background too. MFC

Rotating the image, was just brilliant! I'm going to remember this illusional trick for my next bottle image ;-) NOw that you've rotated the image, why all the space on top and, why the mint green border line? Anyway.... great shot, great illusion, great thinking. Mark J

Great colors in glass and bottle. I would suggest to turn the picture 90 degrees clockwise so the bottle is standing normal. It makes it less obvious that the picture is turned and creates more of an illusion that the water flows against gravity. Willem
