Vireo crassirostris cubensis
This recently described subspecies of Thick-billed Vireo is only easily found on Cayo Paredón Grande, where this photograph was taken, although there is a handful records from neighbouring Cayo Coco and even Cayo Guillermo. On the first-named cay it is easily found by following the main trail from the lighthouse south-east, where you should also find Cuban Gnatcatcher and perhaps also Mangrove Cuckoo.
