A great shot Cindy, that horse was he bothered by all the noise at all??
You cant help but think back to when all this fighting was going on for real.

It's all been said, Cindy. I like this one a lot!

Beautifully framed and composed, Cindy.
I like this a lot.
Could be Antietam or Chancellorsville...

Thanks, Pete, Hal, Steve and Terry.
Steve, the public viewing area is up on the hill. I was up there for the afternoon battle. For the morning battle, I went to my favorite spot at the other end of the battlefield. This photo was taken from that position. The soldiers march right past me on their way to the battle and I am very near to the canons. I don't have to fight for a position to photograph from down there.

So realistic, Cindy. You really captured the feel, especially with the gunpowder smoke.
I feel like I am looking at one of Ken Burns stills.

Another fine shot Cindy. Can anyone gain access to vantage points like this or do you have special access.

A very fine shot Cincy.
This evokes all the emotions of a battle and it goes well
with Michael's fine photos of Shiloh.

These battle reenactments look fun and also scary.
They are well done, but isn't war such a flooy.
