J. Knox Corbett House

180 N. Main

The Corbett House, built in 1907, is Mission Revival style, with a clay tile roof and arched front windows.

Johnston Knox Corbett moved to Tucson in the late 1800’s and married Elizabeth Hughes, daughter of Sam and Antanacia Hughes in 1885. The Corbetts decided to build a house here in "Snob Hollow" in order to raise their two children.
At the foot of this property is a marker for the northwest corner of the Presidio wall. (If you look closely, you can see it running crookedly down the street.)

other sizes: small medium original auto
