Northwest Dade County, Florida

The view is looking north-northwest and shows little development on the west side of the Palmetto Expressway in this area. This is about the equivalent of NW 107th Street and now part of Hialeah Gardens.

The wooded area is now the location of Waterbed City. I was a surveyor in the 70s and was responsible for 80% of all of the surveying for development in this area. This is exactly what it looked like when I first worked in this area back in 77. Just on the other side of this bridge where you see the mail boxes is w 53rd street.
