Thank you to Fred E. Daughtry Sr. for contributing this great old image. Fred was with Biscayne Park in 1967 and 1968, then went to the Dade County Sheriff's Department from 1969 until 1973. In 1973 he was hired by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office in Gainesville and made it a career.

Ah, you remember those signs? I think they're still up too. Miami Lakes copied it and put one on Miami Lakes Drive eastbound from the Palmetto interchange. It doesn't do one iota of good judging from all the fools doing 10 to 20 mph over the limit. At least Biscayne Park enforces their speed limits. Don
