Lake Pupuke is a freshwater lake occupying a volcanic explosion crater (or maar) on the North Shore of Auckland.
It is separated from the sea by less than 200 m at one point.
It’s circumference is about 4.5 km and reaches 57m in depth.
It is popular for water activities and the lakefront property around it.
The tall building on the right is the North Shore Public Hospital
