Gay Pride

The New York City Gay Pride Parade is always on the last Sunday in June, the weekend in 1969 of the Stonewall riots, the beginning of Gay Liberation. The parade starts just south of Central Park and ends in Greenwich Village. It usually lasts about 5 hours and is followed by a fair, entertainment, a dance, fireworks and endless celebration.
