Inscribed on the Jan Hus Memorial are the lyrics from the Hussite war song "Kdož jsou boží bojovníci" or "Ye Who Are Warriors of God".
The memorial features a forward looking Hus with his followers. One of them is a soldier with a shield. Another is a priest with a communion chalice. Hus believed the Catholic practice of withholding communion cups from laity was not Biblical.
