North Carolina Mountains

I'm an avid fly-fisher, and I spend as much time as possible in my native western North Carolina. One of the things I enjoy about fly fishing for trout is that trout live in pretty places. I've tried to capture some of that beauty here, and I hope you enjoy these pictures - I certainly enjoyed taking them. Comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

Bob, you and I have been to many of the same places in NC. I have travelled from Murphy to Willmington and a hundred places between. Its a beautiful state, but the western portion is its shining glory. I do't know if you still live there, but I know you enjoyed the time that you did.

Your photos are absolutely breath-taking! Only one who appreciates photography in nature can understand the feelings one gets from taking such photos. I am an amatuer photographer, I just simply love the beauty of creation. Living in the back hills of the great northwest I've had the opportunity to experience the most secret of places where you can view Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and way off in the distance Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood. Sunrises and sunsets are the best time to photograph. Thanks for sharing your love of photograpy!

I just bought an Olympus Evolt-500 camera with 2 lenses. It takes wonderful pics as shown by the ones I took on the Cherokee side of the Smokies. I have much to learn & look forward to getting back to the Blue Ridge Mts. for picture taking. Your pics are beautiful.

N.C. is on of my favorite places to visit. I just haven't been able to do it since I bought a new camera! Soon I hope.
