Cape Gull

(larus vetula)
The Cape Gull has recently been split as a seperate species from the Kelp Gull (larus dominicanus). It can be found quite commonly around the coasts of southern Africa with a small isolated population in west Africa (Gambia). Thes photographs were taken in the lagoon at Walvis Bay.
