Wang Chhu and Cheri Chhu valley

Thimpu stands on the Wang Chhu. We had a day trip up the Wang Chhu valley and the side valley of the Cheri Chhu, a beautiful forested area with flowering rhododendrons. The confluence of the rivers is dominated by the Cheri Goemba monastry on top of a rocky hillside.
